WHAT THE WEEKEND IS ABOUT

As you spend more time with yoga, questions naturally begin to arise.

Why does one movement prepare us for another? Why can the same pose feel completely different from one body to another? How does the way we sit, move, train and live influence what we experience on the mat? How can we work with our bodies in a way that supports a healthy, sustainable practice over time?

The Breathe and Flow Method is built around working with the body and understanding it as a connected whole. Over two days, we’ll explore this together, connecting what you experience in your own body with a deeper understanding of what is happening and why.

DAILY SCHEDULE

SATURDAY

SUNDAY

WHO THIS IS FOR

If you take yoga classes, online or in person, and keep finding yourself wanting to understand more about your body and the practice, this weekend is for you.

You do not need to teach yoga or have an advanced physical practice. Some existing experience with yoga or movement is recommended, along with being comfortable taking part in longer practices.

IF YOU TEACH YOGA

For teachers, we’ll take this understanding further into how you teach.

You’ll explore how anatomy can inform your cueing, how to observe and work with different bodies, and how to sequence in a way that honours the way the body moves. This approach sits at the heart of the Breathe and Flow Method and offers a framework you can draw from when creating your own classes and supporting your students.

Yoga teachers who attend the full immersion are eligible to receive 20 Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Hours and a certificate of completion.

Spots are limited.

WHAT WE’LL EXPLORE

Each day begins with an extended Breathe and Flow Method practice. From there, we’ll use what you have experienced in your own body as the starting point for learning.

Integrated Anatomy & Fascia
Explore how different areas of the body relate to one another and what this means for movement, posture and yoga.

Your Own Body & Movement Patterns
Look at how your body has adapted to the way you move and live, and develop a clearer understanding of your own patterns.

Myofascial Release
Explore practical MFR techniques and the thinking behind where and why we use them.

The Breathe and Flow Method
Go behind the practice and explore how yoga, functional movement, strength, mobility and an integrated understanding of the body come together.

Intelligent Sequencing
Understand why movements are placed where they are and how a sequence can progressively prepare the body with a clear intention.

Beyond the Physical Practice
Explore the role of breath, meditation and philosophy within the wider practice of yoga.
